What is Life Coaching?

First and foremost: this is NOT a mental healthcare service.

In my role as a Life Coach, I explicitly do not provide mental health treatment, diagnoses, and / or any form of psychotherapy otherwise.

So, what can you expect?

My areas of focus as a Life Coach:

  • Identify and integrate personal values (i.e. developing vision, decision-making, and follow-through).
  • Dating and relationship support (i.e. goal-setting, pattern recognition, basic communication skills, etc.); (NOTE: I do not provide coaching services related to separation or divorce).
  • Explore the practical side of self-care (i.e. boundaries, time-management, burnout, etc.) in the context of human service work (e.g. therapists / counselors, healthcare workers, clergy, etc.).

In other words: coaching emphasizes imminent and actionable support, accountability, and values-driven collaboration. As such, I am also more than happy to offer a Christian worldview further informed by my experiences as a gay man and Hmong identity – prayers and all, if so desired.
